Label is #1

(Beverly Hills, CA -- December 15, 2008) Top industry publications

Billboard Magazine and Radio and Records both agree -- Peak Records is #1 and has been named #1 Smooth Jazz Imprint Label of 2008. Also topping their lists was the label's hot new recording artist, saxophonist Jessy J, whose title track from her debut CD, Tequila Moon, was named #1 Smooth Jazz Song of the Year.

Peak Records also recently received two GRAMMY nominations--one for saxophonist Gerald Albright in the category of Best Pop Instrumental Album for SAX FOR STAX and Wayne Brady for Best Traditional R&B Vocal for the track, "A Change is Gonna Come," from his debut Peak Records CD - A LONG TIME COMING.

Look for releases in 2009 by The Rippingtons, the collaboration of Marc Antoine and Paul Brown, All 4 One, Peter White, Will Downing, Paul Taylor, Jessy J and Norman Brown.

Peak Records is a division of the Concord Music Group.

Great Things on the Horizon!

There are great things to expect this season! Lots of happiness, shared times with families, reconnecting with old friends, and the joy of music to be made!

This Week my second single “Sin Ti/ Without You†was shipped across the country to all radio stations…it’s time to follow up “Tequila Moon†with a romantic & passionate Bossa Nova (“Sin Ti†in Spanish means “Without Youâ€). Please call or log in online to your local radio station to request this new piece…you won’t be disappointed. It features some of L.A.’s biggest names in music, like Oscar Seaton, Paul Brown, Ricky Peterson, and Roberto Vally!!

I am so delighted to be working with Nichelle Young, my new Fan Club President. We met at the Guitars and Saxes show in Austin, Texas and immediately found that we share a similar passion for life and music. She is a hard working mother of three and a lover of Smooth Jazz. On behalf of Nichelle and myself, we would like to welcome you to join the Official Fan Club!! Nichelle has set up a website for fans to get together and do special events, meet and greets, and other fun activities…Please feel free to contact Nichelle directly if you would like more information:

I Love What I DO!

I love what I do…and if you do to… please vote for TEQUILA MOON!

It’s time for the 51st annual Grammy Awards! Tequila Moon has been submitted to the long list for BEST POP INSTRUMENTAL ALBUM (038- TEQUILA MOON) and BEST JAZZ INSTRUMENTAL SOLO (142- Tequila Moon).

Yay! I love the Grammy’s and am so blessed to be a voting member this year. If you get a chance, and are apart of this world-class organization, please vote for Tequila Moon and support the Awesome Musicians on this CD.

Also recently, Concord Music Group has posted this cool new blog:

“…when I picked up the sax around 9, my teacher turned me on to Coltrane, Charlie Parker and Cannonball Adderley, and later I got into Sergio Mendes, who like my other hero Herbie Hancock was progressive and unafraid to fuse different genres together.â€

As promised, I have also uploaded some more video footage from the beautiful Santa Catalina Island Jazztrax Festival behind the Scenes and live show performance clips…

Love ya and hope to see you all very soon!

If you live in NY please come check out our Guitars Saxes show this weekend!

Muchos Besos,
