To me Thanksgiving is all about hanging out & having fun with family and friends.
This year I am so thankful for all of you! Thank you for being so loyal to the music that you love- thank you for dancing along with us and enjoying the ride. This year I'm thankful for my 4th studio album release Second Chances.
I'm especially thankful for my fathers ongoing battle and victory over cancer. I know that cancer effects so many of us, through our experience with this disease the most powerful medicine is to remain thankful.
And that is exactly what we will do this Thanksgiving give thanks for our health, life, family, music, loves, and joys.
Thank you for sharing with us too!
Working my Bootie Off
Whats up beautiful people? Como estan?
I've been working my bootie off on this new Album, Second Chances... and its been worth it! We debuted at an impressive #2 on Billboard Contemporary Jazz Charts.
And our single, "Listen 2 the Groove," is playing on EVERY Radio station in the country, so we're off to a good start!
After a series of CD Release parties and many interviews, I went into my usual hibernation mode~ this is where I rest & relax! I love to hibernate! LOL
Coming up we have some shows in Riverside, California with the amazing Sheila E, and also in Phoenix for the Arizona Jazz Festival.
I hope ya'll had a chance to spend some time with family and friends to celebrate Independence Day!
Traveling has really opened up my eyes to how many wonderful freedoms we have as Americans. We can all play instruments, vote, and celebrate our individuality :)
These past couple weeks of travel & performance have been amazing- Delaware, Boston, Oakland, Newport & Hawaii !!!

Hope to see you all very soon! Be on the look out for more info about my upcoming album, Second Chances!
When I was a little girl I dreamt of becoming a studio musician, recording music for Movies, Television, and Albums. Fortunately, these past few months have been studio time for me! I've been in the studio often working as a producer on my new album, recording for popular television shows like "The Voice," Latin Television late-night show "Noches Con Platanito," and even with the most recent winner, Candice Glover, on "American Idol!"
I feel so blessed to be a studio rat and have completely been enjoying the experiences we've been having!
My New Album
We are also getting closer to the release of my brand new CD, "Second Chances." One of my favorite songs from the album is our funky rendition of Sergio Mendes classic ~ "Magdalenha." I worked on the track with fabulous musicians Jeff Lorber & Jimmy Haslip. This song is special to me because it reflects the party and fun-loving attitude of brazilian music, which I've had strong affinity for since I was a child. Every time I hear this tune I just want to get up and dance!
Hope to see you all very soon on the road or online :)
Do any of you have regrets? Wish you could re-do something? For all those opportunities we missed out on, we can all have a second chance.
That's the title of my brand new CD... Second Chances!
Second Chances will be released this summer and is all about getting up when you fall down and pushing through to the finish line.
I was so blessed to work with GRAMMY award winning guitarist, Norman Brown, on this song. We first worked together in 2010 Summer Storm Tour and I have been a huge of fan of his ever since!
A new friend that I've had the pleasure to work with is Johnny Britt (keys/vocals/tpt), this guy really brings it. We co-wrote Second Chances together & recently performed in the "American Idol" horn section.
Lets go get some Second Chances!
Happy early spring!
What have y'all been up to? I've been having a marvelous time working on my new project and I wanted to share this exclusive behind the scenes info with you!
Back at it again
In 2008 I had the opportunity to work with Guitars and Saxes including this especially talented man- Jeff Lorber.
After our initial meeting I knew I wanted to work with him in the studio, it was just a matter of time. And the time is so right , right now- we've been comin up with some funky- fresh grooves at his home studio in the Pacific Palisades.
I'm excited to give you a glimpse into the music writing process. I have loved the tango ever since my first trip to Argentina in 2009. I was performing with Michael Bolton and we had about 3 days in the city. It is one of my favorite places in the world, the food is amazing, the wine is delicious and the shopping is incredible!!! While we were visiting Buenos Aires we went to a Carlos Gardel Tango Show that inspired a song on my new album :)
There it is , just the beginning of more to come...
Stay tuned for the release of my album later this year!!!
More special guests to be announced soon
